'Owl and Ivy'
Jean Royle created this card design of the owl and ivy in the 1940's. This original design is the earliest surviving lino print specifically designed by Jean Royle to create a Christmas card when she was living near Stowmarket in Suffolk. She has cleverly made use of the positive and negative qualities of the technique to make the ivy leaves particularly decorative.
