Jean Royle produced a series of five landscape paintings as viewed from the window of her home at Newstead Abbey Park in Nottinghamshire during the mid 1960's. Here she has used a mixture of wax crayon, gouache and poster paint to show the lighting effect created by a stormy evening sky.
